THE Adelaide Thunderbirds left some of their younger fans star struck at the Kingborough Sports Centre when the Suncorp Super Netball superwomen put them through their paces at junior clinic.

More than 100 enthusiastic kids, including a handful of boys, were put through a series of skills and set-up drills that Emma Watson, of the host club Kingston Blues, said would inspire the juniors.

“It’s really going to inspire the young players to have players of this calibre of players teaching them what to do,” Watson said.

“I remember when I was that age and used to go to netball clinics, to have people from that level coming here to coach, it’s something I always remember and it will be the same for our juniors.

“These women are amazing players and it is special to have them here.”

The Thunderbirds were made available for the clinic via a mutual sponsor of Adelaide and Kingston.
