The Queensland Kiwi boys have made a massive statement heading into the finals day at the Pacific Youth Rugby Festival.

The all blacks proved unstoppable in the Under-14 boys, putting 59-unanswered points on Queensland South Africa in an emphatic tune-up performance ahead of Sunday’s finals.

Kiwi centre Tyrone Mautofu finished with a blistering hat trick, while utility Kayden Lemafa scored two as the Kiwis ran away with an 11-try win.

The massive result headlined a big day of action on field three which included 10 games across all divisions on Saturday.

Tries to Evia Gutugutuwai Byram and Jesse Roos helped the Queensland Fiji Under-12s to an all-important win over Oatley Rhinos.

The hard-fought 12-7 win has put the Fiji side in the mix for a minor medal ahead of Sunday’s play-off matches.

Queensland Royals Under-14 boys also picked up a big win over rivals Queensland Barbarians 12-5, while the Queensland Kiwi Under-16 girls made no mistake in their clash against AU Superstars.

The Kiwi girls are in prime position to make the grand final, with Indya McWilliam, Lara Kamau and Maya Wright all crossing in the 17-7 win over the green and golds.

Also on field three AU Superstars Under-10 side piked up a 15-0 win over Queensland Fiji, while the Queensland Fiji Under-12 side bounced back to knock off Oatley Rhinos 12-7 later in the morning.

The race to finals is well and truly alive as the action at the Pacific Youth Rugby Festival heats up on Saturday.

The tournament, which kicked off on Friday, has already been full of terrific tries, huge hits and memorable individual moments.

The Pacific Youth Rugby Festival will play host to tournament newcomers Queensland Indigenous and Pasifika, Nations United North Queensland and Territorian raiders All Nations Rugby NT.

Meanwhile tournament regulars Queensland Kiwi, AU Superstars and Gold Coast Tonga have expanded their efforts across most ages and divisions.

KommunityTV will exclusively live stream every match across all five fields on each day of the tournament from October 18-20.
