2025 HART Premier Netball League live stream: Cougars v Titans, Bull Sharks v City Pulse; Round 3

Newbies Moreton Bay City Pulse are still without a win, but they are moving in the right direction. See how they fared against heavyweights Bond University Bull Sharks in full REPLAY.

Newcomers Moreton Bay City Pulse have come up short despite a committed effort against a more accomplished Bond University Bull Sharks outfit in the HART Premier Netball League.

In just their third outing in Netball Queensland’s top division, the Pulse showed plenty of fight but class was always going to prevail on Wednesday night.

The Bull Sharks assumed control early in the contest and never relinquished the lead thereafter as the duel firepower of Kaylin van Greunen and Mia Stower told in the 74-54 outcome.

Sharing the shooting duties, the pair racked up 64 goals (32 each) in a powerful display under the net.

Goal shooter Emma Barrie did her best for the Moreton Bay with a game-high 42 goals but she just couldn’t bridge the gap.

PREVIEW

Competition newcomers Moreton Bay City Pulse will be looking to turn their recent form around ahead of a midweek HPNL Sapphire showdown with Bond University Bull Sharks.

In their inaugural season in Netball Queensland’s top division, the Pulse have shown plenty of spark.

While the Pulse started with a 21-goal loss to heavy hitters Kedron-Wavell Cougars, they bounced back with a strong second round showing against Sunshine Coast Thunder, only going down by three goals.

They have a prime opportunity to produce their first win of the season on Wednesday night, with the rare midweek HPNL clash live streamed exclusively on KommunityTV.

The Bull Sharks will welcome back their players from the recent Super Netball Reserves finals series, and enter the Round 3 clash sitting fourth on the Sapphire ladder.

While the Bull Sharks early season form suggests they should dictate the pace in this one, it has been a turbulent week of results in the HPNL.

The contest follows a number of rollercoaster round three results after Carina Tigers beat Sunshine Coast, Brisbane South knocked off Ipswich and Gold Coast delivered Kedron-Wavell their first loss of the season.

The Titans have produced a mammoth final quarter to deliver the ACU Brisbane Cougars their first loss of the HART Premier League season.

The Titans trailed by five points and then three points in the first two quarters before going into the final term level at 47.

A final quarter assault from the Titans sealed a 64-55 win at Nissan Arena on Saturday in round 3 of the competition.

PREVIEW

We’re just two rounds into the 2025 Hart Premier Netball League Sapphire season but a mouth-watering round three contest between the top of the table sides could well determine their finals chances at the end of the season.

With two wins each the Kedron-Wavell Cougars will take on the Gold Coast Titans at Nissan Arena with the clash live and exclusive on KommunityTV from 4pm, Saturday.

The Cougars have won their opening two games of the season by a combined 53 goals, dispatching of newcomers Moreton Bay Pulse and Brisbane South Wildcats over the past fortnight.

The Cougars’ huge 160.92 percentage means they sit on top of the table but the Titans have been able to overcome heavyweights Ipswich and Bond University in their two fixtures.

“The vibe is really positive right now,” Cougars captain Chaise Vassallo said.

“We’ve had a great start and everyone’s working hard for each other, pushing standards, and enjoying building connections.

“We know it’s still early, but there’s a lot of excitement about what we can achieve this season.”

Despite their hot form the Cougars will be facing an uphill battle in round three with a number of players absent due to Super Netball reserves commitments with the Firebirds.

“Titans will definitely be a tough battle, they have a strong team and we’re expecting a high-intensity game.

“It’s no secret that majority of our team is away with SN reserves this weekend, however our Ruby team have been training super hard in the pre-season so I’m keen to see a few of them get a chance in Sapphire and showcase everything they’ve learnt this year so far.”

Following a player of the round performance in round two, Vassallo said Cougars goal attack Lily Cubby was no doubt in for a huge season.

Cubby was unstoppable in the Brisbane derby finishing with 14 successful supershots to take her tally to 38 goals for the game.

The second of KommunityTV’s round three live streamed matches will take place on Wednesday night from 7pm between Bond University Bull Sharks and Moreton Bay City Pulse.
