2025 ASSRL Nationals HUB: How to watch, tournament schedules, and more

The ASSRL is ready to heat up the fields of Townsville and Coffs Harbour this Winter. Find out how you can watch it LIVE on KommunityTV and see the full schedules.

The NSW Combined Catholic Colleges will have a mightily large target on their backs as they aim to make it three-straight ASSRL Under-18 Boys national titles in 2025.

They will face some formidable opposition with Queensland producing a strong line up, the ACT always hiding a trick or two up its sleeve and the rise of rugby league talent in the NSW Combined Independent Schools system.

But it is not just the Under-18 boys title on the line when the ASSRL Nationals return to the field this winter, with Queensland out to defend its Under-18 girls crown, while NSW CHS will hope it can continue its stranglehold on the younger age groups.

Every match across the Under-15/16 and Under-18 tournaments will be exclusively live streamed on KommunityTV in 2025.

The tournaments will be played across a three-week period, with the Under-15/16s players escaping the cold in tropical North Queensland from June 29-July 4, while the Under-18s return to the NSW North Coast at Coffs Harbour from July 14-20.

Into its third year, the schoolgirls half of the tournaments continues to grow in both talent and competition, and with the expansion of the NRL National Schoolgirl Cup this year, it is expected to only get better.

WHO’S FIRING IN 2025?

The NSW Combined Catholic Colleges side is understandably stacked with talent from western Sydney nursery Patrician Brothers Blacktown.

The reigning Peter Mulholland Cup champions have started the schoolboys cup season on fire, and their players are all coming off big years in the NSWRL junior rep systems.

The NSWCIS have quietly built a compelling case to be included among the top schools at the tournament, with impressive brothers Onitoni and Ashton Large from the Scots College in the squad along with Wests Tigers phenom Heamasi Makasini.

Not to mention a host of talents from the Central Coast Sports College and an outside back with an unforgettable name – and impressive resume – in Rex Bassingthwaite.

The Queenslanders will always put together a formidable line-up with Melbourne Storm young gun Hayden Watson expected to pull the strings at halfback.

NSWCHS will feel hard done by after missing out in last year’s final, and will have Australian Schoolboys lock Tom Dellow back to lead the side.

Throw in the wildcards from the ACT and Combined Affiliated States and it makes for an exciting week of action.

NSW CHS girls will be confident they have the firepower and strike to take back the Under-18s title after losing to Queensland last year.

The sky blues will be led by classy centre Anasatasia Leatupue, who was the player of the tournament at last year’s Under-16s titles.

The Queenslanders will be left to work out what life looks like foloowing the departures of gun lock Shalom Sauaso and flashy fullback Mercedez Taulelei-Siala.

The emergence of gun middle forward Evelyn Roberts will help to fill that hole, while Australian Schoolgirls representative Amani Misa will return for this year’s tournament.
