2025 Aaron Payne Cup live stream: Trinity Bay SHS v Holy Spirit College, Round 6

The effort has been there for Trinity Bay, now it is about finding the excellence in execution to pick up the school’s first win of the Payne Cup. Watch their clash with Holy Spirit LIVE on Thursday.

Trinity Bay State High will look to its own holy trinity to spearhead the school’s first win of the Aaron Payne Cup season.

A triumvirate of hard-hitting forwards known as the Lokotui brothers will head up the Trinity Bay efforts as they set their sights on Payne Cup rivals Holy Spirit College.

The clash will be exclusively live streamed on KommunityTV on Thursday.

The Schoolgirls Cup clash between Trinity Bay and Holy Spirit has been called off due to a forfeit.

The Trinity Bay assault will be led by captain Alpha Lokotui, while he will be backed up by blockbusting brothers Saul and Joseph.

Saul, who is part of the Northern Pride junior representatives system, has been one of Trinity Bay’s best this season, scoring a double in their tough loss to competition heavyweights Kirwan State High last week.

While his other brothers tend to get the plaudits, Trinity Bay coach Dustin Stewart has been full of praise for efforts of unsung edge backrower Joseph.

“He has been a real shining light along with our other backrower Wyatt (Tyrell),” Stewart said.

“They have really stood up in both attack and defence. On the defensive side they are old school backrowers, they enjoy the contact and really embrace the physicality of the game.

“In attack they seem to punch into the line and more often then not, bend it. They are extremely hard workers and like to take the game on.”

While the Rays might have given up a flurry of points late in last week’s loss to Kirwan, it was one of the better performances of the season for the side.

It’s an effort they can build off as they face a Holy Spirit side which is still holding onto a slim glimmer of a finals hope sitting one win out of the Payne Cup top four.

Holy Spirit enjoyed an extra long mid-season break as they had the bye last week, and will look to build on their performance in the 28-24 loss to Mackay SHS in their most recent fixture back in June.
