FA NYC SCHEDULES

WHY THE NATIONAL YOUTH CHAMPS ARE IMPORTANT?

The tournaments have been a proven breeding ground of Australia’s top football talents, and could provide the perfect springboard for the next generation to hit the global stage.

Football Australia chief executive officer James Johnson said the partnership with KommunityTV would take the coverage of the National Youth Championships across the nation.

“The National Youth Championships are the flagship youth event in the Australian football calendar, with teams from our nine state and territory member federations competing not only to claim the coveted national title, but to impress attending national team technical staff for future honours,” Johnson said.

“This arrangement is an exciting addition to this year’s event, and we look forward to working with the team at KommunityTV to further elevate these prestigious Championships and take the girls and boys tournaments to screens across the nation.”

The pressure will be on Football Victoria this year to defend their crowns after a clean sweep of the boys titles and the Under-14 girls top division.

NSW Metro will have revenge on its mind after falling to Victoria in two of those finals including the dramatic penalty shoot-out finish in the Under-16 boys title decider.

News Sport Network general manager product and partnerships Sachin Kumar said including every match of the 2024 National Youth Championships would take the coverage to the next level.

“It is exciting to renew our partnership with Football Australia to showcase the best emerging junior talent from across the country,” said Kumar.

“The National Youth Championships has a track record of producing players that go on to play at the highest levels of football, right around the world.

“We are excited to provide football fans a chance to see the next generation shine on a big stage.”

Live stream schedules for the girls tournament will be announced in late June, while the boys tournament will be released in early July.
