Both Berwick College and Brisbane State High School – champions of the 2024 men’s and women’s divisions respectively – will return to nationals with a string of their stars.

Berwick, who enter as a wildcard this year, retain three of last year’s winning team in Marcus Krasnadamskis, Brandon Pele and Sebastien Rault.

201cm forward Krasnadamskis looks to be an AFL draft prospect after choosing football over basketball earlier this year, with his attendance at nationals likely depending on whether he is picked up.

Elsewhere, Rowville Secondary College is set to send a squad full of Victorian representatives, Deng Manyang returns to lead 2024 runners-up Trinity College, hometown heroes The Southport School have named a strong side and ACT’s Lake Ginninderra look set to challenge.

In the women’s, Brisbane State High meanwhile will have a remarkable nine players returning to defend its crown including stars Prasayus Notoa, Alleah Hanson, Sharni Reisinger and Gia Vukona.

Star guard Jessie May-Hall has been named for NSW champions Barker College, while 2023 winners Rowville will also send top talents to Queensland.

Ahead of the huge week of basketball action, we’ve gathered the team lists for the Championship division schools.
