BEST BET
GITALONG (Race 5 No.1): Gitalong tried hard behind a smart mare when resuming at The Valley last time. He’s a second-up winner and drops in class.
NEXT BEST
SUDDENLY (Race 2 No.10): Suddenly rattled home late when placed over 1300m first-up. She’s had a few chances but could be ready to break through on Friday.
FLORINA REGION (Race 3 No.3): Florina Region did a good job when narrowly beaten on debut at Geelong. She’ll be better for it and won’t have to improve much to win.
VALUE BET
HEFF (Race 8 No.7): Heff led and wasn’t disgraced when up to 1600m at Pakenham third-up. He stays at 1600m and Cranbourne suits leaders a bit better.
THE JOCKEY
Jockey Jett Stanley heads to Cranbourne for six rides on Friday. WHATELEY (Race 1 No. 2 – $4.40), FEROCIOUS FRANKIE (Race 3 No. 8 – $1.50), ROUSLEY (Race 4 No. 10 – $4), I MISS MARGIE (Race 5 No. 6 – $2.50), LITTLEBIRDIE (Race 7 No. 14 – $9.50), HEFF (Race 8 No. 7 – $15).
