Glamorous photos of Matildas players celebrating teammate Emily van Egmond’s wedding day have leaked out.
The popular midfielder tied the knot with partner Kat Thompson in the Hunter Valley in NSW over the weekend.
The pair beamed from ear-to-ear as they greeted their guests following the ceremony which took place at a winery in the picturesque Krinklewood Estate. Perth Now reports.
Thompson wore a stunning white dress and van Egmond, 31, wore a black dinner jacket and bow tie for the nuptials.
Matildas captain Sam Kerr was there to toast the brides alongside teammates, including Mackenzie Arnold, Steph Catley, Clare Polkinghorne, Caitlin Foord, and Lydia Williams.
Kerr’s pregnant partner Kristie Mewis was also looking radiant on the big day while Kerr’s dad Roger also flew over from Perth to celebrate the occasion.
Kerr, pictured with her pregnant fiancee Kristie Mewis, posted a tribute to “the Van Egmonds” on her Instagram.
The Chelsea striker also shared several photos from behind the scenes as her teammates celebrated van Egmond’s special day.
Fans flocked to the comments section to send their well wishes to the happy couple — and Kerr’s adorable poses with Mewis.
“Keep rising Queens,” one user commented on Kerr’s post.
Another said: “Miss you on the pitch cause you’re straight baller! And congrats!”
Others cheekily encouraged Kerr to tie the knot with partner Mewis, writing “Sam and Kristie next”.
The international didn’t steal the brides’ thunder, however.
Van Egmond and Thompson were the centre of attention as they took to the dance floor for their first dance as a married couple — as seen in photos shared by Catley on Instagram.
The couple have previously been shy in sharing their relationship with fans.
They got engaged in May, 2023, when they shared adorable photos of the moment van Egmond popped the question.
The pair were standing on a cliffside overlooking the Californian ocean when van Egmond put a ring on it.
