Another Australian footballer has made the move to Tottenham Hotspur leaving just one Matildas player off contract.

Hayley Raso, who was forced to leave Real Madrid due to the leagues strict international player cap, has signed with Tottenham.

It means there are now three Matildas players in the women’s team with Clare Hunt joining Charli Grant last month. The men’s team is coached by Australian football legend Ange Postecoglou.

Raso has struggled for game time at a club level in recent years- this move will guarantee her more minutes on the pitch.

It isn’t the 29-year-old winger’s first time in the English WSL she played for Everton in 2020 and Manchester a city in 2021 for two years.

The move means she will be training and playing alongside two fellow Matildas.

Tottenham now become the second WSL club with three Australians in the ranks with Caitlin Foord, Kyra Cooney-Cross and Steph Catley playing at Arsenal.

Tottenham are yet to reveal the finer details of the contract including the length of the deal.

Raso’s move means Michelle Heyman is now the only Matildas player without a club.

The 36-year-old striker played for Canberra United in the A-Leagues last season winning the golden boot.

She has been approached by almost every A-Leagues Club. A leaked photo revealed last week the star came very close to signing a deal with West Ham, alongside Katrina Gorry, but it was reported the two parties couldn’t reach an agreement on contract length.
