Cygnet have jumped to the top of the SFL ladder after a 62-point victory over Sorell .
Sixth-placed Sorell kept Cygnet within range in the first half before a third-term goal flurry ensured The Port took the points comfortably. Cygnet eventually won 105-43.
They have now supplanted Lindisfarne, who were inactive this weekend, as competition leaders.
Meanwhile, Cygnet may be struggling to keep up the hot pace of Dodges Ferry and Lindisfarne, but they proved they are a class above the sides below them with a 48-point SFL reserve grade win over Sorell.
The 77-29 victory means third-placed Cygnet stay well clear of Huonville directly below them and isets them up nicely for their clash with second-placed Lindisfarne when the competition resumes in two weeks time.

PREVIEW: WHY BEST IS YET TO COME FOR CYGNET
Cygnet will be bolstered by the return of coach Thor Boscott as they look to go back to the top of the ladder with a win over Sorell in their SFL round 12 match at Pembroke Park on Saturday.
Boscott missed last week’s 52-point win over New Norfolk at Cygnet because of illness and his presence is sure to lift The Port in their contest with another potential finalist.
Cygnet utility Joel Poke said the side was always better with Boscott.
HOW TO WATCH EVERY SFL GAME LIVE THIS SEASON
“He’s back after the ‘flu so he’ll bring leadership and another option for us up forward, or through the midfield, where ever he chooses to play himself,” Poke said.
“He will make a big difference, and we’ve got Jake Dance, a small forward, coming back this week, too.”
The Port is in a battle for supremacy on the ladder with Lindisfarne, who has the bye this weekend.
The Two Blues are top of the ladder after 11 rounds, sitting on 40 premiership points and a whopping percentage of 216.64.
But if Cygnet beats sixth-placed Sorell it would inherit top spot with a superior percentage.
The Port is trying to claim back-to-back flags under Boscott.
“That’s what we want and that’s what we expect,” Poke said.
“It would mean heaps to win it again, and all of our hard work over the past two years would pay off.
“It would mean a lot to the supporters and old players and well.”
Cygnet is aware Sorell poses a real danger on their home deck.
“They’ve been in good form and we haven’t been at our best over the past few weeks,” Poke said.
“Sorell, at home, are a six or seven-goal better side, so they a definitely a threat.”
Cygnet is working to make sure they tick all the right boxes over the remaining seven weeks of the home and away series.
“We’re making sure we do all the little things, getting to training and buying in,” Poke said.
“We’re after some good wins over the rest of the roster games, play our best footy, get everyone back on the park and make sure we enjoy it.”
The Port’s best football is yet to come.
“We’ve played well in patches but we haven’t strung our best footy together yet,” Poke said.
“When we played Huonville at home, that was probably our best footy, but we still haven’t strung our best footy together over a month or so.”
In other games, Huonville Lions are at home to Dodges Ferry, Claremont hosts Brighton at Abbotsfield Park, and New Norfolk plays Hobart at Boyer.
