North Hobart has taken out the Cricket Tasmania Premier League under-18 boys final on Sunday after a rain interrupted match.

They ran out winners on the Duckworth-Lewis method in a grand final against Clarence in a game which was severely shortened.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Clarence was at 2-41 with Angus McKenzie leading the way with an unbeaten 17 before the Roos were forced off.

When play returned, North Hobart were sent out to bat and reached 1-55 in 5.5 overs.

Cooper Stubbs was putting together a brilliant innings with an unbeaten 31 runs of 21 deliveries.

The under-16 decider between Kingborough and University was abandoned after just 4.2 overs with the former at the crease.

But given they had finished at the top of the ladder, the Knights were declared premiers, going back-to-back.

Both the semi-finals and grand final had been scheduled to be played on Sunday.
