Michael Clarke steps out looking fit and trim after public Noosa spat

Michael Clarke is looking better than he has in months as he stepped out for a public show weeks after his infamous Noosa spat.

Michael Clarke has stepped out again after making headlines with his public stoush with Karl Stefanovic and girlfriend Jade Yarbrough, looking better than he has in months.

The 41-year-old former Test captain joined his Big Sports Breakfast co-hosts Laurie Daley and Gerard Middleton on Monday morning to watch the Super Bowl at Hotel Steyne in Manly.

Dressed in all-black, Clarke looked noticeably trim compared to the Noosa bust-up that put him back in the spotlight after being in retirement for seven years.

Never one to shy away from showing off his body, the former Bonds underwear model was sporting the robust biceps and forearms typical of top cricketers, and hasn’t lost any of that muscle.

It’s a significant shift from the last few times Clarke was seen in public, with his shirtless biff with Stefanovic suggesting the cricketer was not in the best of health, pinging a hamstring in the process and being photographed afterwards with significant bruising to his leg as well.

Spotted attending Louis Vuitton exhibition in Sydney in November, Clarke’s complexion looked blotchy and red, with Kyle Sandilands remarking that he looked like he had “just made love” before walking the red carpet.

The drama was the talk of the nation with Clarke slammed for his behaviour.

Former Channel 9 personality and 2GB host Ben Fordham took aim at the ex-cricketer, blasting him for dragging Stefanovic into the drama.

“Karl Stefanovic’s name has been dragged into it because he happened to be there and Michael Clarke turned on Karl too,” the 2GB Radio host said.

“Really, really disgraceful language that was used by Michael Clarke as far as I can see it’s got nothing to do with Karl apart from the fact he happened to be there.

“It’s between Michael Clarke and his girlfriends, it’s a shocker and the language used by Michael Clarke in a public place in front of children was utterly disgraceful.”

Clarke scored 8,643 Test runs for Australia in an 11-year career that included Ashes and World Cup victories, as well as 36 international centuries and has established a career as a pundit in retirement.

After news of the public altercation with Yarbourgh broke, Clarke lost a bevy of contracts and endorsements, with RM Williams dumping him in addition to losing his $150,000 commentary role for the tour of India.
