Glenn Maxwell produced an electric knock to help snap Australia's four-game Twenty20 losing streak. But it was an unusual run-in with the overhead camera which had many punters scratching their heads.
Glenn Maxwell fell four runs shy of a sixth international Twenty20 half-century, and the talented Australian all-rounder had a cheeky reason for coming up short.
And, no, it wasn't the Brisbane rain which drenched the Gabba when Maxwell was on a rampage.
No, Maxwell singled out Fox Cricket's Flying Fox camera for criticism - just as he singled it out with laserlike accuracy during his innings.
Amid a barrage of sixes off Krunal Pandya - who he smashed over the fence four times - Maxwell skied a slog which took off like a rocket into the Brisbane sky.
Unlike the previous sixes he'd sent into orbit, this one had a higher trajectory than most... but it didn't get too far before it crashed into the Flying Fox which was positioned high above the pitch.
It resulted in a deadball - meaning we'll never know whether it would've landed in the lap of someone in the front row, or in Shikhar Dhawan's hands at long-off.

But Maxwell cheekily suggested he'd been robbed - before admitting he'd actually finally had a rare slice of good fortune.
"It cost me 50!" Maxwell joked.
"No I probably would’ve been caught about 20 metres in.
"It’s nice to actually have a bit of luck. It feels like it’s going against you a lot of the time, so to have a bit of luck tonight was nice."
Maxwell's innings set up a stirring four-run Australian victory, adding 78 runs in a match-defining fourth-wicket partnership with Marcus Stoinis.
And the under-pressure star was later caught on camera during India's innings exclaiming to teammates "I'm trying" after spilling a near-impossible catch on the rope.
"I’m just riding every emotion in the game and that’s what we’ve all been doing I suppose," Maxwell said.
"It’s been a tough few months and not having a lot of success, I think it’s why everyone’s put their heart and soul into it."
