The investigation into the death of Shane Warne has been turned on its head with bombshell claims one item was removed from his Thailand villa after police had begun their investigation.

Thailand police quickly ruled out foul play in the shock death of the Australian cricket icon, who died of a suspected heart attack while on holiday on the paradise island of Koh Samui aged just 52.

Warne was found unresponsive at his luxury villa at the Samujana resort where he was reportedly enjoying a “lads trip” with friends on March 5, 2022,

According to reports at the time, he was found by close friend Andrew Neophitou, who was an executive producer on a recently released documentary on Warne’s life.

An autopsy provided by the Surat Thani Hospital found the “King of Spin” died of natural causes.

However, bombshell new claims emerged on Sunday with The Daily Mail first reporting an anonymous, senior police officer at the scene now claims he was ordered to remove a bottle of pills identified as Kamagra — a drug used in erectile dysfunction treatments.

The drug is listed to include sildenafil citrate — the same active ingredient used in Viagra. The product originated in India and is not regulated in most countries.

The report claims the pills were found near Warne’s body, but were not listed in the police report because of pressure from senior officials.

That is one of many startling claims made by the publication, including:

— Senior officials from Australia were also involved in the decision to omit the pills from the evidence list.

— A puddle of vomit and blood was found at the scene.

— A group of local masseurs were seen on cameras leaving the villa where Warne was staying. Two women from the Lana Health Massage parlour are believed the last two women to see Warne alive. It is claimed they were interviewed by police. The massage parlour has since been shut down and The Mail claims the two women were told to leave the tourist island.

Warne’s heart condition came to light after his death and reports about his physical condition and weight loss diet have continued to fuel speculation about his cause of death.

The senior police official has told The Mail it remains a sensitive subject all the way to the top of the country’s officialdom.

“We were ordered by our seniors to get rid of the bottle,” he said.

“These orders were coming from up high, and I think senior officials from Australia were also involved because they did not want their national figure to have an ending like this.

“So, the official report came out as that he suffered a heart attack and no other details as to what could have caused it. No one will come out to confirm the Kamagra because it remains a sensitive subject. There were lots of powerful invisible hands behind all this.”

The same officer reportedly added: “It was a bottle, but we don’t know how much he took. There was also a puddle of vomit and blood at the scene, but we cleared the Kamagra as we were told to.”

It had previously been reported that Warne’s close friend Thomas Hall shared the final image captured of the cricketer in a video posted on March 4, 2022, the day before his body was found.

The shock new claims come just after Warne’s children Brooke, Jackson and Summer acknowledged the three-year anniversary of their father’s death.

Summer wrote on Instagram, earlier this month: “Thought your hugs, smile, laughter, your advice and the sound of your voice. I thought the pain of losing you would get easier but I don’t think it ever will.

“I could write a million pages, but still be unable to say just how much I miss you. I love you Dad, forever and always.”

Brooke Warne last year also went public with her ongoing emotional pain, two years’ after her father’s death.

“2 years without you Dad,” the eldest Warne sibling wrote. “It’s been the slowest and quickest 2 years without you.

“I feel like you were just here being silly with us and talking about how good the new season of Peaky Blinders is, and we will watch the next episode together when you come home.

“Life really doesn’t make sense without you here.”

Warne’s three children helped lead the Shane Warne Legacy heart testing drive at the Boxing Day Test with more than 50,000 people taking part in December.
