Cricket Tasmania has highlighted the state’s most promising players with the pathways squads for the upcoming summer announced.
Officials have named 92 players across the squad who are viewed to have wonderful potential with it hoped they will one day go onto represent the Tasmania Tigers.
Aca Curtis and Aidan O’Connor are among the former pathways participants to have been included in the Tigers programs on rookie contracts.
“We are really pleased with the strong blend of talent across all parts of the state that are part of our 2025-26 male pathway,” Cricket Tasmania’s male pathways head coach Andrew Gale said.
“We believe that our pathway program gives our young cricketers across the state the best chance to achieve their dream in becoming professional cricketers.
“We will be using our Pathway Program as well as strong performances in club cricket to help select our Intrastate Cup Squads for October and also our U17 and U19 Tasmanian National Championship squads, in which we aim to be competitive.”
Female pathways head coach Natalie Schilov is excited to work with future stars.
“While our Emerging Tigers only features six players this summer, there are many talented players who are part of the CT development program who will have a role to play in our national championship squads this summer,” Schilov said.
“There’s been no shortage of effort from the group this off-season, and I can’t wait to see what they can do on the field.”
