Brisbane players are coming in SuperCoach NBL with a Bullet.
After eight straight single game rounds, the Brisbane Bullets have their first double of the season this weekend – the first of nine over the first 10 rounds.
Perth Wildcats are the only other team on the double this week, and they have more doubles to come.
See what moves our experts are making for round 9 below.
MATT HICKEY
Coach of Grizzly Grizzards (ranked 196 overall)
IN: Kristian Doolittle, Keandre Cook
OUT: Matt Hurt, Jack White
To Doolittle or to Bannan, that is the big question. I have landed on the former just because he not only has a double this week but another next week. The Pinder-Doolittle duo might be a silly call but it’s one I’m sticking with.
In terms of the Bullets, we know they have nine doubles in the next 10 rounds and considering Tyrell Harrison is already in the squad, Keandre Cook is the only extra Brisbane addition.
CHLOE WILLIAMS
Coach of Let Him Cooks (ranked =196th)
IN: Keandre Cook, Josh Bannan, Keanu Pinder
OUT: Jack White, Majok Deng, Milton Doyle
Goodbye Jackies, hello Bullets ... but there’s a notable absence. I’m already using a boost and still can’t bring Harrison in. Well, I could, but at the expense of Pinder. I’m wary of fading him as, like Tim, not owning him was a little stressful, so he’s the chosen one of the two. The outs speak for themselves as Tassie faces four consecutive singles.
JAYMZ CLEMENTS (NBA STRAYA, ‘THE PANEL’ OFFICIAL NBL SUPERCOACH SHOW)
Coach of King Delly’s Tins
IN: Tyrell Harrison, Kristian Doolittle
OUT: Matt Hurt, Jack White
Powderfinger’s last two albums. The comedy of Wil Anderson. Movies made specifically for Netflix. Supporting the Los Angeles Lakers.
I dunno. Sometimes, when something seems too obvious and easy, it also masks an undercurrent of ‘also not good’.
My trades this week are almost TOO obvious. Matt Hurt and SEM go on a run of single-game weeks, while Jack White is injured and United are in a similar schedule boat.
Harrison has the Bullets’ amazing run of nine double-game weeks in the next 10, while Doolittle has three more straight DGWs with the Wildcats. Both are proven scorers and almost straight swaps money-wise.
They’re no-brainer, obvious and easy moves.
But, unlike Wil Anderson’s comedy or supporting the most famous team, SuperCoach doesn’t like easy.
Doesn’t it feel like something unforeseen is about to sideswipe your team?
So I’ll be kicking the tires on Josh Bannan and his exceptional floor, but more with an eye to bringing him into my team in a couple weeks after the Bullets’ single game next round.
I’ll also think about using a third boost and moving on from Chris Goulding to go to Keandre Cook … but after his massive 55-SC point game and 82 overall last round, Bubbles’ BE is now at -10… meaning I can hold the man who went el feugo for another round or two as a bench option (and switch Henshall on a double onto the court) before jumping on Cook.
I guess, after all that, just like admitting ‘hey, “Extraction” was a good movie’, sometimes simple and obvious is OK?
SUPERCOACH PLEB
Coach of Pleb, rank: 879
OUT: Will Hickey and White/Leaupepe
A very straightforward round with only two teams on doubles. You can be conservative and follow the crowd to minimise risk and bring Tyrell Harrison plus Keandre Cooks or Josh Bannan.
I am personally trying to find a way to hold White, as the calf injury isn’t a huge concern for me considering it’ll be exactly three weeks between the injury and his next match post-FIBA break. Question is, how many points will I lose out on by doing this?
If I do trade out White, it’ll be for Harrison and POD(!?) Bannan, who’s only owned by 16.8 per cent of teams ranked in the top 5 per cent.
As for my captain this round, I am fading Harrison. The Tasmania match-up at MSB has put me off him and, ironically, if Will Magnay doesn’t play, it might be a negative for him.
My C will be on Kristian Doolittle. If he can clean up his career-worst turnovers, he is in for a 70+ SC weekend. With 28 turnovers already this season (11 games), he’s only two off what he had for the entirety of NBL24 (26 games). Safe to say, the Point-Forward role ain’t working.
Best of luck with the round!
Props to Angus Glover for turning his shooting woes around. Unsure what Coach King has said to him, but it's working.

Before King:
7-29 (24.1%) | 16.6 MPG | 11.0 SC
After King:
12/28 (42.8%) | 27.5 MPG | 22.5 SC#NBL#NBL25
TIM MICHELL (I beat Chloe this week)
Coach of I Got Hoop Dreams (rank 487)
IN: Keandre Cook, Keanu Pinder
OUT: Jack White, Milton Doyle
I have had my eyes on big Tyrell Harrison for weeks but based on Break Evens, I’ve gone for Cook and Pinder this week. I have been sweating bullets for weeks not having Pinder because every SuperCoach knows he has a monster ceiling. The best thing I saw from him last round was that he didn’t need huge points to score well, which has been the case for a lot of this season. I’ve banked $117k with these moves which will hopefully allow me to grab Harrison and someone like Matt Mooney next round.
PATCH
Coach of The Hackjumpers, ranked 540
OUT: Jack White, Elijah Pepper
IN: Keanu Pinder, Keandre Cook
Special Ks for the Hackjumpers this week. Wanted to keep White on the bench with my $250k in the bank coming into this week, but we can’t carry any zeros around here, so he’s gone. Pinder comes in with a big ceiling and some form behind him and Cook is the in-form Bullet, so he is locked. Tempted to bring in another Bullet instead of Pinder. I’m holding Matt Hurt for now.
AL PATON
Coach of The Usual Dribble, rank 769
OUT: Jack White, Flynn Cameron
IN: Keanu Pinder, Keandre Cook
I had White and Matt Hurt as my outs for most of the week but that would mean playing Elijah Pepper on court in the GRD position again, which I’m not very keen on after he scored 24 in a double-game round last week. So Hurt can sit on the bench for a week and I can cash in Cameron for Cook, who looks great value at $277k. Pinder is hot and cold but I like his dual-position status and the fact he has a double next week (when Brisbane doesn’t) – and I don’t want to be the one who misses out if he does catch fire this round.
