Taran Armstrong is set to become the latest Australian to play in the NBA after reports on social media that he has signed a deal with Steph Curry’s Golden State Warriors.
NBA insider Shams Charania broke the news on Monday morning that the Tapians guard was set to sign a two-way contract, which means he’ll likely split his time between the Warriors and their G League affiliate.

Armstrong will team up with Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler, who recently joined the Warriors from Miami, with the 23-year-old rewarded for his tremendous year in the NBL where he averaged 17.1 points, 4.7 assists and 4.6 rebounds for Cairns.
The 196cm Tasmanian product played for California Baptist University and joins a long list of Aussies who have made it to the NBA.
The Warriors are ninth in the west but are only a couple of games back on sixth spot, which would mean avoiding the play-in tournament for the playoffs.
