Stunning footage has emerged of the moment a Super Bowl champion was involved in a wild crash while road racing.

Dallas police are reportedly searching for Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice after he was suspected to be involved in a car race that led to a six-vehicle accident on Saturday night, according to the Dallas Morning News.

A police call sheet obtained by the Dallas Morning News lists Rice, 23, as the suspected driver of a Corvette that was racing a Lamborghini before a crash that resulted in four people suffering injuries with two people hospitalised.

The drivers of the Corvette and Lamborghini ran from the scene after the crash without stopping to check on anyone, Dallas police spokeswoman Kristin Lowman told the outlet.

Dashcam video obtained by WFAA, which you can watch above, shows the scary moment the two speeding cars lose control and collide with several other vehicles.

A vehicle “believed to be registered or leased to” Rice was involved in the car crash on the North Central Expressway in northeast Dallas, the report said.

The Corvette and Lamborghini lost control while speeding in the far left lane, and the Lamborghini “hit the centre median wall, causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles,” Lowman told the Morning News.

It’s unclear if Rice is suspected of any charges; as of Sunday, Rice wasn’t appearing in county jail records, per the Morning News.

The newly crowned Super Bowl champ grew up in North Richland Hills outside of Fort Worth.

He later played four years at SMU before he was selected by the Chiefs in the second round (55th overall) of last year’s NFL draft.

In his rookie season, Rice had 79 receptions for 938 yards, tallying a team-leading seven touchdown catches across 16 game appearances, including eight starts.

He was Kansas City’s top wideout option last season, coming in second on the team in receptions and receiving yards behind star tight end Travis Kelce.

In the Chiefs’ four-game postseason run to win their second straight Super Bowl title and their third in the last five seasons, Rice had 26 catches for 262 yards and a touchdown.

Rice had six catches for 39 yards in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 2024 win over the 49ers.
