WHEN it comes to football rivalry, it seems not even the bonds of family are strong enough to keep tensions from boiling over.
During the Dallas Cowboys hosting of the Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium on Monday, things got a little heated in the stands as the result drew closer.
The Eagles were looking to maintain an undefeated record, while Dallas had recorded just two wins for the season. And with the game finishing in overtime, it was clearly an anxious period for fans on both sides.
The Eagles came away with a tight 33-27 victory after wide receiver Jordan Matthews took a 41-yard reception to secure the winning touchdown with 11 minutes left in overtime.
For two rival fans however, things reached breaking point midway through the game, when they were shown arguing in the middle of the crowd.
The larger of the two, decked out in Eagles supporter gear, can be seen yelling loudly at the Dallas fan opposite him.
Suddenly the Cowboys fan lashes out with a right hook, immediately knocking the man unconscious.
As footage of the punch went viral, details surrounding the event emerged, and it became apparent that the two fans were slightly closer than first believed. So close in fact that they were related.
According to TMZ, Dallas supporter Jorge Castillo punched his brother Ignacio Castillo after a disagreement over the match.
Jorge was arrested and charged with assault, while his brother travelled to hospital to nurse a bruised jaw and a heavily damaged ego.
A third brother, Jose Castillo was also arrested at the game for disobeying police officers at the scene.
The Cowboys may not have won the game, but they certainly won this brotherly feud.
