IN a galaxy full of stars, it was a North Launceston stalwart who shone brightest from this round of TSL football.
The Mercury’s Star Tracker TSL stats show just what an impact Jack Avent had in the Northern Bombers 46-point win over the Tigers at University of Tasmania Stadium on Saturday.
Avent had a round high 35 touches — 19 kicks, 16 handballs — to go with six tackles, six clearances and eight inside 50s.
And the multiple premiership player did it the hard way with 23 of his 35 touches contested.
FULL PLAYER STATS:
For those into fantasy football, it would have equated to a huge 143 points for the game.
Blues midfield bull Jobi Harper wasn’t far behind, with 31 touches and 13 clearances but even this herculean effort wasn’t enough as Launceston suffered an upset loss to Clarence at Windsor Park.
