NAB Challenge 2016: SuperCoach scores from St Kilda v North Melbourne, Sydney v Port Adelaide

NORTH Melbourne enjoyed an even spread of contributors in its 44-point win over St Kilda, while several Swans racked up massive scores in their 21-point victory over Port.

YOUNG North Melbourne forward Mason Wood had a breakout game as he aims to become a regular in the Roos’ senior team.

Wood, who played seven games last year to take his career tally to eight in three seasons, stepped up four goals in the Kangaroos’ 44-point win over St Kilda in Wangaratta.

The 22-year-old scored 109 SuperCoach points, along with Drew Petrie who also booted four goals.

You’ll have to pay a premium price for Shaun Higgins this year, but the early indications are he will be worth every dollar in 2016.

Higgins picked up where he left off last year by kicking the opening goal before finishing with two majors and 90 SuperCoach points.

The Kangaroos’ enjoyed a spread of matchwinners with Luke McDonald hitting 100 points with 18 disposals and seven marks and Majak Daw (98 points) was impressive in the ruck with 23 hitouts.

For the Saints, Seb Ross (129 points) and Jack Newnes (118) were in a league of their own with 26 and 18 possessions respectively.

Jack Billings and Jack Steven finished with 56 and 52 points after they were rested in the second half.

There wasn’t much between Sydney and Port Adelaide in their NAB Challenge clash at Blacktown, but you wouldn’t know it judging by the SuperCoach scores several Swans racked up massive scores.

Jake Lloyd had a field day scoring 151 points on the back of 31 disposals.

Luke Parker (128 points) grabbed an equal-high 32 touches and Dean Towers (127 points) shone up forward with two goals and five marks.

And second-year midfielder George Hewett, who had an injury-interrupted pre-season last year, looks ready for a senior debut after collecting 15 disposals, two goals and 118 points.
