Reports have suggested he may return to Los Angeles or even Australia after he was charged, as he is only required to check in in weekly by phone under his bail conditions.

After the pair were released from a holding cell in Manhattan, Dyson was also seen filming himself while dangling his legs out of a helicopter as he took a chopper ride across the New York City skyline above Central Park.

The Collingwood midfielder had been charged with forcibly touching a 35-year-old woman in her “private areas” without her permission as she danced at a rooftop bar during a Halloween party on the weekend.

The matter could have led to jail time for the 25-year-old and a conviction in the US under the category of a sex crime.

But it is understood the woman no longer wanted to pursue the matter and the Manhattan District Attorney’s office dropped the charge for the indecent touching.

The DA’s office declined to comment; the NY Police Department also declined to comment referring all questions to the DA.

A criminal complaint seen by News Corp from the DA has confirmed the charges related to forcible touching no longer exists.

But De Goey is not quite out of hot water and still faces an assault and harassment charges related to the incident at the up-market rooftop Manhattan hotel party.

De Goey and Dyson were drinking and dancing when they approached the woman on the dancefloor.

When a 37-year-old male friend of the woman attempted to push the Aussie pair away he was allegedly punched “with a closed fist” and kicked by the AFL player. Dyson also allegedly assaulted the man with a glass to the face.

The shocking incident comes after De Goey’s working holiday went from major highs to a new low.

Louch is seen on camera praising De Goey, saying “Look at this guy he’s a gladiator”.

De Goey then rides in front of him and Louch looks at the camera saying: “Well it’s not easy kid, but you gotta do what you gotta do to be the best. Let’s go.”

Both Australians are still expected to face a New York criminal court on December 8.
