ADELAIDE coach Don Pyke says the different versions of Brad Crouch’s injury coming out of West Lakes come down to “semantics”.
Crouch — who had initially been talked about as a chance for round one — has been ruled out for six to eight weeks with what was widely understood to be osteitis pubis.
What followed was that Pyke denied reports that the injury was osteitis pubis while Crouch said on radio on Tuesday night that it was, in fact, the dreaded OP.
But Pyke yesterday said the definition was unimportant when questioned on the different versions.
“It’s interesting, that one,” Pyke said.
“When I was asked that question a couple of weeks ago I categorically asked our doctors what it was and their definition was just groin soreness,” Pyke said. “Based on the facts that his symptoms were not OP.
“I think Brad used the word OP last night on radio.
“He’s got some groin related issues ... a whole range of stuff was in there.
“The reality is we’re talking about some semantics, though.
“It’s tomato-tomato, the argument, to me.
“The reality is that he needs some time to build that area back up.”
