NO GARY Ablett.
That’s the first thing that jumps out when looking at the SuperCoach squad selected by Herald Sun chief football writer Mark Robinson.

With the Gold Coast champ struggling to get over a shoulder injury in time for Round 1, Robbo is pinning his hopes on two modern champs: Collingwood captain Scott Pendlebury and Geelong ace Joel Selwood.
Another club captain, Tiger Trent Cotchin, is in the midfield along with underpriced Saint Jack Steven.

But the biggest surprise is in the forward line, where Robbo has picked Hawthorn dynamo Cyril Rioli — who is currently in 2.3 per cent of teams.
When Rioli plays there’s no doubt he can score, averaging over 90 in four of the past five seasons and bagging a 154 against Richmond last year.
The downside is he played just 11 games last year and 13 the previous season. If his hamstring can hold together, it could be a masterstroke.
