JOSH Gibson scored more than 100 SuperCoach points four times last year on his way to a career-high average of 92.5.

This year he is set to smash that out of the park, if the NAB Challenge is anything to go by.

The Hawthorn defender was the No.1 SuperCoach scorer in the pre-season competition, playing two games for scores of 160 and 108.

After skipping the Hawks’ loss to Collingwood in the opening round, Gibson returned with 25 disposals at a crazy 96 per cent efficiency against the Kangaroos, then followed up with 28 touches against St Kilda.

Gibson led the NAB Challenge averages from Robbie Gray, one of two Port Adelaide midfielders in the top 10 — and Ollie Wines just missed out.

PLAN B: ESSENDON TOP-UP PLAYER SUPERCOACH PRICES REVEALED

Patrick Dangerfield and Dustin Martin have made flying starts to 2015 and Jimmy Bartel deserves extra credit for making the top 10 despite starting as the sub last weekend.

We set a minimum of two appearances to make this list, ruling out Nat Fyfe (135) and Scott Selwood (123) who both starred last weekend in their only NAB Challenge outings.

At the other end of the scale buyer beware if you have Travis Cloke in your forward line — he played two pre-season games for scores of 40 and 56.

And one poor game and an untimely injury left Lance Franklin with an average of 23.
