KFC SuperCoach 2022: Brand new tools make managing your team easier than ever

Struggling to fit managing your KFC SuperCoach team into a busy schedule? These new tools are just what you need to put the best team out every round.

Selecting a KFC SuperCoach squad is great fun, now the real game begins.

Watching your players score points over the weekend (and messaging your mates when your captain is best-on-ground) is what makes KFC SuperCoach so enjoyable.

And managing your team between rounds is how you work your way up the overall rankings and set up your team to claim your all-important league premiership.

And this year there are more tools than ever to help make your job as quick, easy and fun as possible.

1. Use INTELLIGENT AUTO-FILL to select an initial, competitive and unique team based on SuperCoach Plus technology that selects from the most popular players in the game. Use it as often as you like in the pre-season or when you first enter your team – the closer to the start of the season (or round), the better it gets!

2. Use the line-up TEAM OPTIMISER each week to get the best starting line-up, captain/vice-captain and bench picks. Hit the “OPTIMISE” button and SuperCoach Plus will automatically adjust your squad to place your highest projected-scoring players who have been selected to play (when available) on the field. It will even pick your four best emergencies on your bench), and select your Captain and vice-captain! You can then choose to play that team, or continue to tweak with a solid base and starting point for the round.

3. Thee ALL-NEW TRADE ASSIST. You can now use our smart technology that will suggest the best trade options for your team. Whether you choose to make one, two or more trades for the week, Trade Assist will seek out the best options to trade out and in based on the most popular moves across the competition, but completely customised for your squad.

Whether it’s a fallen premium, or a rookie on the cusp of greatness (or a big cash haul), you can be assured of receiving the best recommendations. (Expert tip: It gets better when used closer to the start of each round!)

3. Introducing TRADE BOOST. In addition to 35 trades (up from 30) being available this season, Trade Boost provides the ultimate flexibility for when you need that extra change to win an important head-to-head match-up, or you need to get out of a pickle with a late or unexpected out.

For up to five rounds during the season at your choosing, you can activate a Trade Boost for a third trade (or fourth during the bye rounds) to use for that round. A Trade Boost can be activated for any round and will come out of your 35 total trades. It can be activated right through the round, all the way up until the start of the last match. It is up to you to choose whether you use all, some or none of your five available trade boosts.

4. Changed your mind or hit by a badly-timed injury during a round? Undo changes with the all-new TRADE UPDATE, your new and unique approach to updating and managing your trades right through and during each round.

While you can continue to reverse all changes throughout the week and right up to the first match of the round, you now have all the flexibility to update trades right through the rolling lockout. Here’s how it works:

If, for example, you completed a trade on the Friday evening and traded in a player who doesn’t play until Sunday afternoon and is a late out – or you’ve simply changed your mind – you can simply “update” the traded-in player to another one (who is yet to play, and within your available salary).

The above will work even if the player you originally traded out has already been locked. With the end result being one net change to your team, it’s all at the cost of a single trade.

Trade Update means that here is no need to navigate complex trade reversals that would rarely work due to traded players or dual trade/dual-position moves being involved/locked.

If, however, neither of your traded in/out players are locked and you are able to complete a trade in reverse, you will receive your trade back and effectively reverse your trade (with the net result being no change to your team).

5. LIVE SCORES for every player right through the round are available for the first time in 2021 to SuperCoach Plus users. Track how your captain is scoring, what every kick, mark and clanger does to your players’ totals – and how you are performing in your head-to-head league match-ups as the games unfold across the round. SuperCoach Plus is home to a host of great tools and stats and is free with a masthead or Code Sports subscription, or you can sign up for a Year Pass for $24.95 here.
