SuperCoach bargain hunters should add another name to their shopping list this week.

Colby McKercher was one of the best rookies in the game before succumbing to bone stress in his foot before round 10.

After a month on the sidelines he returned in the VFL on Sunday, and resumed right where he left off with 31 disposals, eight marks, seven rebound-50s, three intercepts and 135 SuperCoach points.

Making the score even more impressive – McKercher was on managed minutes and only played the final three quarters.

The No.2 draft pick scored 102, 135 and 91 SuperCoach points in his last three AFL games before succumbing to injury, and is available at the bargain price of $379,400 as a MID/DEF with a Break Even of -6. He could be the perfect extra premium on the bench to provide insurance across two positions in the run home – if he gets through the next nine rounds without the foot injury flaring up again.

Meanwhile, some big SuperCoach numbers will create intense discussion around the ruck position at Carlton and Geelong this week.

Marc Pittonet returned from a finger injury in VFL against Southport and scored 130 points from 24 disposals, 21 contested possessions, 21 hitouts (seven to advantage), nine clearances and 14 score involvements, including a goal.

Tom De Koning is absolutely flying as solo ruck (three-round SuperCoach average 154) but he faces tougher opposition this week. Could Michael Voss be tempted to double team Tiger Toby Nankervis?

On Friday night De Koning rucked against his brother and Mark Blicavs after Geelong opted not to play a traditional ruckman. If Chris Scott reconsiders that approach this week, he has some options.

Young tall Toby Conway scored 151 SuperCoach points in the VFL from 20 disposals and 38 hitouts (13 to advantage) while veteran Rhys Stanley logged 97 points from 13 touches, 16 hitouts (five to advantage) and a goal. Shannon Neale scored 110 after kicking 3.3 and taking eight marks to go with 18 disposals.

But SuperCoaches hoping for a Shaun Mannagh recall might be disappointed. He managed 13 disposals and two goals for 63 SuperCoach points.

Other key scores from round 13 in the VFL, round 11 in the SANFL (when the Crows had a bye at both levels), and round 12 in the WAFL, include:

GOLD Coast ball magnet Brayden Fiorini claimed the highest score of the round, responding to being dropped from the senior side with 33 disposals, eight marks, eight clearances, six tackles and a goal for 153 SuperCoach points.

DARCY Jones returned from injury for GWS in the VFL, kicking 2.5 on his way to 87 SuperCoach points.

JOSH Schache and Shane McAdam don’t look like the answers to Melbourne’s scoring issues based on current form. Schache scored 15 SuperCoach points against North Melbourne in his return from a foot injury while McAdam finished with 29 points. Next Gen Academy defender Andy Moniz-Wakefield showed plenty of promise, however, with 35 disposals, 10 intercept possessions and 140 points.

MATT Roberts, one of the best cash cows of the SuperCoach season, played his first VFL game for the year and racked up 24 disposals, five tackles and 114 points.
