With rookie selections looking shaky, Advertiser reporter Simeon Thomas-Wilson is looking for value in KFC SuperCoach. SEE HIS TEAM
SuperCoach
Don't miss out on the headlines from SuperCoach. Followed categories will be added to My News.
I’ve gone in search of some big breakouts in KFC SuperCoach this year.
Braydon Preuss’s injury has led to many going for the set and forget option of Max Gawn alongside Brodie Grundy.
But with some question marks over just which rookies will play, I’ve gone with Reilly O’Brien as my R2 to bring in some players I think are underpriced and can score well this season.
With the shorter quarters gone and interchanges reduced, I think O’Brien can use his elite tank to continue his solid end to the year, when he averaged 119 in the last four games.
It is why I have also gone with Andrew Gaff as my M2, although West Coast having to go to a hub again could make me seriously reconsider this.

I’ve got Jordan De Goey in my forward line, hoping for a Christian Petracca-style breakout, and really hoping he lines up this week and plays in the midfield.
Outside of Dusty I think there aren’t too many must-have options in the forward line, so I’m looking for value.
I think Zac Bailey should get a lot more minutes in the midfield for Brisbane, while Tom Phillips’ pre-season has won him a spot in my team.
Tim Taranto is seriously underpriced for mine, while I’m backing Rising Star Award winner Caleb Serong to follow him and Clayton Oliver and become an excellent scorer in his second year.
My defence is quite vanilla, but love Alex Witherden’s scoring potential for the Eagles.
