Deciding to restart the season in quarantine hubs is just the start of the AFL’s looming headaches in a season like no other.
Gillon McLachlan and his team not only have to find suitable locations for the hubs, but then decide which clubs will be based where.
With the possibility of one hub in Victoria and one or two more interstate, it creates a dilemma pointed out by Herald Sun reporter Scott Gullan on this week’s Herald Sun Footy Podcast.
“How do you come up with which Victorian clubs have to disappear to interstate?” he asked.
“Can you imagine Eddie (McGuire) saying, ‘Yeah, Collingwood will go’. That’s going to be on for young and old.”
