ONE of the last remaining empty blocks on one of the Gold Coast’s most exclusive streets will be redeveloped into a giant mansion.
Pitched by Qian Wu, the three-storey mega mansion will be built on a 911sq m site on Paradise Waters’ Commodore Drive.
The opulent project will have a huge spiral staircase that runs through its centre from the basement to the roof.
It will have a Batcave-style underground basement with space for at least three cars, plus a boat which will be able to directly enter the Nerang River from the basement via a ramp.
According to the plans lodged with council, the home will have at least five bedrooms overlooking the river, an office, family room and media centre and a dining room with space for up to 16 people to eat.
A pool and deck will also be built overlooking the river.
The development will be assessed by the Gold Coast City Council because its height slightly exceeds the three-storey, 9m height limit.
