THE sale of this Cambridge acreage has been called a dream come true.

No.8 Kadina Rd fetched $2.25m, which set a new high price for this Hobart Eastern Shore suburb.

Homelands Property agent Kim Symmons, who has worked in real estate for 21 years, said the sale was a career highlight.

“All I have ever wanted was to get the Acton or Cambridge highest price, due to the fact I grew up in the area and have so much love and appreciation for it,” she said.

“The new purchasers are local and a gorgeous family that are looking forward to the lifestyle.”

Mrs Symmons said the 5.43ha property started on the market at “Offers over $1.85m” but later an asking price of “Offers over $2.2m” was established to not waste the vendor’s or a potential purchaser’s time.

“It was satisfying to find the perfect buyers who just love the lifestyle that is on offer. It really was a fairytale sale,” she said.

No.8 Kadina features a four-bedroom home on 13 acres of fenced pasture and gardens with stunning Coal River Valley views.

From every aspect of this light-filled house, the outlook is outstanding.

The house has three-bedrooms with built-in wardrobes and a master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe, an ensuite and a gorgeous balcony.

The kitchen has a gas cooktop, electric oven, zip tap, integrated fridge and freezer alongside ample bench and storage space with soft touch drawers and cupboards.

In the cooler months, a large wood heater warms the living area where the floor-to-ceiling windows offer uninterrupted views.

Outside, there is a double and a large storage shed.

Per realestate.com.au, Cambridge’s next highest sale after No.8 Kadina was a 6.4ha property at No.80 Backhouse Ln, which was sold in March this year for an undisclosed sum.

The third highest was a modern marvel at No.9 Alliance Dr, which fetched $1.76m in May last year.
