The Gold Coast couple who made a fortune out of streetwear fashion has listed its penthouse in a Surfer’s Paradise super-tower with an eye-watering $30m price tag.
Culture Kings founders Simon and Tah-nee Beard are chasing a buyer with deep pockets for their jawdropping, four-level sky home crowning the ‘Soul’ building on The Esplanade.
The Beards sold their majority stake in Culture Kings for $600m in 2021 and rewarded themselves with some of the Gold Coast’s most expensive properties — including this penthouse.
They paid $15.25m cash for the property in July 2021 — a record for an apartment sale in Queensland at the time.

Emil Juresic of NGU Real Estate, who is marketing the property, said it was irreplaceable and worth every cent.
“I’ve seen everything in real estate, and I’ve never seen anything like this,” Mr Juresic said.
“I’ve never seen this level of finish, the layout, or a penthouse almost 1100 sqm in size that actually feels like home. If this was in Sydney, it would be $100m.”
With more than 1000 sqm of living space under roof, there are five bedrooms, including a master suite with his and hers walk-in wardrobes and bathrooms, multiple dining and sitting rooms, two lounge rooms, a study, a library, a kitchen with a giant butler’s pantry, an outdoor gym, an internal lift, a huge entertaining area, and a cigar lounge and bar.
Half of the library is dedicated to a wall containing more than $1m worth of Mr Beard’s sneakers.
Mr Juresic said the property was being sold with all the custom-made designer furniture and bedding included — but not the sneakers.
“You will never have another building on the Gold Coast with a penthouse with four storeys,” he said. “As a developer, it’s not financially feasible.”
The Beards are moving to another property they own in Surfers Paradise, which they purchased for $11.75m in 2021 and have since dramatically redeveloped and expanded over two blocks.
That property spans some 3000 sqm and has a private sandy beach, resort-style pool and lush gardens.
The Beards started out in 2008 selling clothing imported from the US from a stall in the Carrara Markets, and soon grew to become a global fashion brand.
They are understood to have a personal combined net worth of $626m.
