Elon Musk has called for the arrest of several high profile individuals over a “giant” scheme running under the American public’s nose.

Elon Musk has pushed for the arrest of leaders of “fake” organisations that receive federal funds — saying they represent a politically connected “uniparty” that’s engaged in “money laundering” of taxpayer resources.

“With respect to the non-governmental organizations, these sort of fake NGOs, I think there needs to be a number of arrests,” Mr Musk said in an interview on Fox News’ The Five.

Meanhwile, Joe Rogan has condemned Donald Trump’s “horrific” mass migration policy, accusing the President of possibly sending innocent people to a “hell on earth” prison in El Salvador.

The podcaster, who has an estimated following of 14.5 million people, was one of Mr Trump’s most high-profile supporters in the lead-up to last November’s presidential election.

But in a recent episode of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, the controversial commentator described the leader’s policy as “f***ing crazy”.

It comes ahead of Donald Trump’s so-called “Liberation Day” tariffs, which he’s set to reveal on Thursday morning, Australia time.

Every capital city, including Canberra, is on tenterhooks to see to what extent the Trump administration will whack on import tariffs.

The mood music from the White House has been all over the place and has ricocheted from the possibility of global tariffs of 20 per cent on all products to targeted tariffs that may be relatively small in some cases.

President Trump is convinced tariffs will lead to vast amounts of tax revenue and more jobs in the US. Many believe it will push up prices and inflation in the US.
