Welcome to our live coverage of US politics and the events in Gaza from Monday, Australia time.

Donald Trump addressed the Israeli pparliament to declare the Gaza conflict was over.

But his speech was interuptted by a heckler.

The politician who stopped Mr Trump talking said it was a “polite” message that the USwas, in his view, “totally complicit” in Israel’s “genocide” in Gaza.

After two years of anguish, all 20 hostages believed to be alive have now been released. They emerged in two groups, with seven freed earlier in the morning and 13 later in the day.

The return of the bodies of those who did not survive remains unresolved.

Large-scale prisoner releases are also underway. More than 1700 detainees from Gaza and around 250 Palestinian prisoners are expected to be freed.

Vans believed to be carrying them were seen outside Ofer prison in Israel earlier, and hospitals in Gaza are preparing for the influx of returnees.
