US election 2024: Beyonce, Andrew Tate lead celebrity vote grabs

Beyonce put on a sexy display in a pitch for the Harris vote, as conservative commentator Andrew Tate endorsed Donald Trump.

Can celebrity star power tip the scales in the US Election?

Beyonce made her final stand in support of Kamala Harris wearing a T-shirt sporting a photo of the Democrat candidate from her college days.

The Renaissance pop superstar has been active for the Harris/Walz campaign and posted another selection of sexy photos wearing animal print boots and a mini-skirt with her custom-made Harris black T-shirt.

Another shot showed a close-up of her gold nails with “VOTE” written on one as American celebrities continued to urge people to get to the polls even in the final hours.

Earlier Queen Bey released a new music video with an irresistible message to the American people to get out and vote.

Beyonce lead a long line of famous faces, including an unusually serene Andrew Tate, who declared their political allegiance as the US goes to the polls in what is shaping up to be one of the tightest races in recent memory.

BEYONCE

While Queen Bey long ago declared her allegiance to Team Harris, even delivering a speech at the Vice President’s Houston rally last month, the singer turned things up a notch on election day.

Beyonce encouraged Americans to vote in a new music video for her Cowboy Carter track Bodyguard which she now titles Beywatch.

The sizzling clip pays tribute to Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and features Beyonce shooting a pistol which reveals a flag encouraging US citizens to vote.

Unlike in Australia, voting is not compulsory in America and encouraging voter turn out is seen as an important part of the democratic process.

ANDREW TATE

Conservative social media star Andrew Tate said he will “feel a deep sense of peace” if former President Donald Trump is restored to the White House.

Tate, a dual British and American citizen who is awaiting trial in Romania on sex trafficking charges which he denies, took to X on Tuesday morning to share his sentiments.

“I went to jail to tell the truth,” Tate posted, referring to his house arrest in Romania.

After lamenting about the “culture war”, Tate referred to himself as a “martyr”.

“If Trump wins I’ll feel a deep sense of peace,” he wrote.

“Suffering for nothing is good.

“Suffering to win is great.”

In a separate tweet posted minutes earlier, Tate claimed the election was not as close as the polls were leading the public to believe.

“They want you to think, ‘ah it was close they only cheated a little’.

“No. They’re cheating BIG.

“It’s NOT close. It’s a TRUMP LANDSLIDE.”

TOM MORELLO

Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello said he spent two years working for the Democrats in the ‘80s which would forever impact his vote.

The 60-year-old posted to X that during his time as a scheduling secretary for then Senator Alan Cranston he “saw first hand how oligarch money controls and criminally shapes politics and policy.”

“No one’s eyes are more open than mine on this topic. Democrats are war criminals. Republicans are war criminals,” Morello posted.

“While I do always vote because racists and the ruling class don’t want me to, I believe that real change comes from creating an irresistible force from below - working and fighting before, during and after and election at the grassroots regardless of who wins, not just crossing your fingers and begging elites for crumbs.”

Morello said despite reports he had endorsed Harris, he had in fact backed neither of the candidates.

“The ONLY candidate I have EVER publicly or privately endorsed was Cindy Sheehan, an anti-war activist who’s son was killed in the Iraq War.

“She’s was a true badass. Please pass this info along to the legions of misinformed chodes who have a similar perspective to your own.”

MICHAEL JORDAN

Another man who did not want to voice his political opinions one way or another was basketball legend Michael Jordan.

A spokesperson for Jordan was forced to deny the sporting giant had endorsed former President Donald Trump after a post suggesting he had done so went viral.

“There is absolutely no truth to the claim that Michael Jordan has made an endorsement in the presidential election,” a representative for Jordan told the Independent.

Jordan is notoriously private about his personal life and has never made his political views public.

PAUL RUDD

Rather than just talk the talk, Paul Rudd decided to get out and walk the walk by handing out water to parched voters at a polling booth.

REESE WITHERSPOON

The Morning Wars and Legally Blonde star shared several posts on the days leading up to election day signalling she had voted for Kamala Harris.

Witherspoon said ensuring both she and her daughter had access to reproductive healthcare was behind her choice.

It Ends With Us star Blake Lively and her husband, Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds, Ghost star Demi Moore and Charmed actor Alyssa Milano also shared Instagram posts proudly stating they too had voted for Harris.

DICK VAN DYKE

Veteran performer Dick Van Dyke endorsed Harris, dusting off the 60 year old speech he delivered alongside civil rights great Martin Luther King in 1964 for the occasion.

Mr Van Dyke, who will celebrate his 99th birthday next month, appeared sprightly and passionate in the video posted to his Instagram account.

“You may remember I used to sing and dance and fall down — a lot, actually,” Mr Van Dyke said.

“Fifty years ago — May 31st, 1964 — I was on the podium with Dr. Martin Luther King, who was addressing some 60,000 people in the Colosseum in LA, and I was there to read a message written by Rod Serling,” he said, referring to the creator of the Twilight Zone.

“I got it out the other day and I think it means as much today — if not more — than it did then, so if you don’t mind, I’d like to read it.

“Hatred is not the norm. Prejudice is not the norm. Suspicion, dislike, jealousy, scapegoating …. none of those are the transcendent facets of the human personality.

“They are diseases. They are the cancers of the soul. They are the infectious and contagious viruses that have been breeding humanity for years.”

Mr Van Dyke tagged Kamala Harris in the post, encouraging everyone to get out and vote.

JON BON JOVI

If Kamala Harris is Livin’ on a Prayer as the results come in, Jon Bon Jovi is right there with her.

The crooner posted a throwback video of him meeting the presidential hopeful where they embraced and shared their mutual admiration of one another’s careers.

ROSEANNE BARR AND KID ROCK

Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s celebrity backers including Roseanne Barr and Kid Rock urged their followers to support the former President’s bid for re-election.

Actor and comedian Roseanne Barr reiterated the her concerns about alleged voting interference in her social media post.

“Praying for our President. Flood the polls! Don’t let them steal it! Our country won’t survive another 4 years of this. We have to make it too big to rig!” she wrote.

Kid Rock simply wrote “Vote Trump” underneath a video featuring his high profile campaign stars including J.D. Vance, Robert F. Kennedy and Elon Musk endorsing their candidate soundtracked by one of the hip hop rocker’s tracks. Jailed media personality Joe Exotic commented on the post: “Hope he signs my pardon!”

GEORGE CLOONEY AND JULIA ROBERTS

Longtime political and social activist George Clooney coming out against Joe Biden remaining in the race in July wrought a seismic shift in Democrat ranks and ultimately led to Harris being given the gig.

His bestie on and off screen Julia Roberts provoked the ire of conservatives last weekend when she narrated an ad funded by a Christian-backed group which encouraged women to vote differently from their Trump-supporting husbands.

TAYLOR SWIFT

Taylor Swift gave her 283 million followers on Instagram a last minute rev-up to vote in a post celebrating the final Eras Tour shows in the US.

“And here’s a friendly but extremely important reminder that tomorrow is the US Election and your last chance to vote,” she wrote.

What About Us singer P!nk told her fans “Your vote matters now more than ever. Show up. Cast your vote. Make it count.” She also revealed she had already voted for Harris/Walz.

Billie Eilish, 22, who voted early with her brother Finneas and parents Maggie and Patrick, told her fans “times are really scary and a lot is at stake” for women in America as the nation goes to the polls.

“I know that if you’re in this room and you support me, you support women and I hope you would vote for Kamala Harris,” she said during a concert in Atlanta.

MICK JAGGER

Even Mick Jagger, a British citizen, got on the “Don’t forget to vote!” bandwagon, via an Instagram post. The Rolling Stones legend shared two photos of himself with six of his adult children, writing “Jagger kids are voting for Kamala.”

CHLOE GRACE MORETZ

American actress Chloe Grace Moretz also took to Instagram to sway voters, revealing she threw her support behind Kamala Harris.

“There is so much on the line this election. I believe the government has no right over my body as a woman, and that the decisions over my body should come ONLY from myself and my doctor,” she wrote.

“ Kamala Harris will protect that for us.”

LADY GAGA

Celebrity families are not immune to the awkward political conversations taking place across American dinner tables right now.

In Lady Gaga’s case, those conversations could be happening at her dad’s restaurant.

While the Born This Way pop superstar has been one of the highest profile supporters of the Harris/Walz campaign, her New York restaurateur father Joe Germanotta is a MAGA enthusiast.

Germanotta, whose Joanne Trattoria is a queer-friendly joint on the Upper West Side, made his endorsement of Trump official during a Fox and Friends interview in September.

“They’re two vastly different people,” Germanotta said of the presidential candidates.

“One of them is pure, you know, and he’s a patriot. And the other, she’s just going to say whatever she needs to say to get elected. That’s basically what I hear.”

MARK PINCUS

Tech baron Mark Pincus who donated A$1.5 million to Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has revealed on the morning of election day he will actually be voting for Donald Trump.

Mr Pincus, who owns a billion dollar video game empire, said on X that as a Jewish American he could not vote for the Democrats given their stance on the war in the Middle East.

“This past year I have seen too much,” Mr Pincus wrote.

“Israel is America’s most loyal ally and the only Democracy in the Middle East. It is fighting Iran on 7 fronts and yet it can no longer trust the US.

“Anti Semitism in America is reaching levels not seen since pre WWII.”

Mr Pincus said he believed “America will continue to be great under the Dems or Trump”.

“And yet I think America and Israel will be stronger under Trump.

“My vote doesn’t matter since I live in a one party state. But I feel it’s important that I state my position anyway.”
