Sylvester Stallone’s wife Jennifer Flavin has filed for divorce amid accusations the Rocky actor has hidden their marital assets.
Ms Flavin posted a cryptic message on Instagram alongside a picture of her hugging the couple’s three daughters.
“These girls are my priority. Nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever,” she wrote.
Days later, she filed for divorce in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Divorce documents seen by The Daily Mail claimed Stallone “has engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate”, the outlet report.
The documents also state: “Moreover, the Husband should be enjoined from, selling, transferring, assigning, encumbering, or dissipating any assets during the pendency of proceedings.”
Ms Flavin said “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken”, according to the documents.
In a statement, Stallone said: “I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.”
The divorce proceedings come after Stallone, 76, covered a bicep tattoo of his wife with a picture of Butkus, Rocky’s bull mastiff from the movies that helped make him a household name.
He initially said the tattoo change came after an attempt to update it went wrong.
“Mr. Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer however the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable,” a spokeswoman said.
“As a result, he had to cover the original image with a tattoo of his dog from Rocky, Butkus,” she said.
The marriage is Stallone’s third and most successful.
The couple wed in 1997 after meeting in 1988.
At the time, Ms Flavin suggested she was aware of his reputation.
“I’m not naive about what may go on when I’m not around – he’s a 45-year-old man – I can’t change the way he is,” she told People.
“Still, he’s not a cheating dog every day of the week. We spend five out of seven nights together, so I don’t know where he’d find the time,” she said.
