The Queen is ‘increasingly concerned’ about Prince Andrew amid a brewing royal drama

The Queen has become worried over her son’s ‘state of mind’ as a behind-the-scenes drama unfolds over Prince Andrew’s return to the public eye, a royal expert has revealed.

The Queen has grown “increasingly concerned” over her son Prince Andrew who has yet to return to royal duties since stepping back in 2019, according to a royal expert.

Andrew, a knight in the Order of the Garter, was set to appear at this week’s Garter Day before a “family decision” saw him stay home.

Royal expert Neil Sean said Andrew’s continued absence from public events left the Queen worried for her son even as a royal drama was brewing over his return.

“It’s been told to me that the queen has become increasingly concerned about the welfare and state of mind of her son Andrew and, in particular, he needed a focus, something to look forward to,” Sean told Fox News Digital.

“Naturally any mother/ monarch or not would have these feelings.”

“He has been spending almost every afternoon in the queen’s company while at Windsor to pass away the hours of what was once a busy, active duke,” he shared.

“[This is] how the original invitation became... Andrew, who missed the Platinum Jubilee celebrations after testing positive for COVID, is said to be keen for a return to royal duties and this seemed the ideal way of doing it.”

Sean said it was Andrew who thought twice about making a public appearance, knowing that the tabloids would quickly pounce on his arrival.

“He feels that should be reinstated and his position recognised and respected,” said Sean. “But very quietly and without fuss, he personally rescinded the kind gesture from the queen so as not to create... a bad feeling among his family members. After all, this was a huge event for Camilla who as the Duchess of Cornwall was installed as a Royal Lady of the Order of the Garter.”

“Andrew also was wise enough to know that if he did attend the focus on her would be taken away,” Sean added.

“He has a good, strong friendship with Camilla, who has been more than kind, compassionate and understanding throughout this whole debacle... The true story is this: He quietly and without fuss agreed to remove himself from the Garter Day and sat back and allowed the press to once again maul him. All the while, his mother the queen awaits to see how her second son will cope with his new life away from royal circles.”

Sean has been revealing the inner-working of the royal family following the Jubilee celebrations.

He said the recent move by Prince William and Kate to Windsor Castle, just 10 minutes from the Queen, was a pointed rebuke of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle/

The came after Harry appeared on the US’s Today morning show saying he wanted to ensure the Queen is “protected and got the right people around her”.

Royal expert Neil Sean said the Cambridge’s final decision to move from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage was in express response to Harry’s “shocking” suggestion.

“The message is basically Harry and Meghan wanted to make sure that the Queen had the right people around her so William and Kate moving directly into Windsor Castle was a direct message to say, ‘we are the right people’,” Mr Sean said on his YouTube channel.

“That was a statement that really shocked and rocked senior members of the British monarchy for the simple fact that, you know, Harry was the one that departed thousands of miles away and left at the height of her grief for he late husband,” he added.

Harry made the comments during an interview in the Netherlands, where he was promoting the Invictus Games, following his meeting with the Queen in April.

He said it was “so nice to see her” now that the United States was his home, adding that “she’s always got a great sense of humour with me”.

“And I’m making sure that she’s, you know, protected and got the right people around her. We have a really special relationship … We talk about things that she can’t talk about with anybody else,” Harry said.

That statement was the “final decision” for William and Kate to make the “tricky move” out of London, according to Mr Sean.

He added that Kate and William wanted their children George, 8, Charlotte, 7, and Louis, 4. to be closer to schools and also the Queen at Windsor Castle, which has been her primary address since leaving Buckingham Palace.

“Katherine and the Queen are very close, they speak almost daily on the phone. She [the Queen] holds her in very high regard, she’s become a much-loved member of the family,” Mr Sean said.

“The Queen didn’t have the opportunity to bond at all with Meghan, even though she tried her very best... but it sadly wasn’t to be.

“So what William and Katherine have decided to do is make sure that no one, least of all Harry and Meghan have any fears or are in any doubt right now at 96 years of age, that our gracious monarch simply does have the very best and right people around her.”
