Israel-Iran conflict live updates: death toll grows as strikes continue
The death toll on both sides of the conflict is starting to rise as attacks continue on Sunday.

The region remains on edge after Israel’s surprise attack on targets throughout Iran on Friday.
On Saturday, Iran has retaliated with multiple missile strikes of its own, at least some of which broke through Israel’s Iron Dome defence system and exploded in the city Tel Aviv.
In Israel, there are reports of up to seven deaths with dozens injured, while in Iran, 78 people have been killed and a further 320 are injured.
This morning, Israeli authorities say a woman in her 20s was killed by an Iranian strike near the northern city of Haifa.
There has been no de-escalation to the crisis in the Middle East as of Sunday morning (Sydney time).
The Israeli military and Iran’s state media have both confirmed a new salvo of missiles has been fired towards Israel as citizens are urged to again head to shelters.
Israel also struck in Yemen, reportedly targeting a senior military leader of the Iran-back Houthis.
It comes only moments after the IDF said that it was carrying out air strikes in Tehran while simultaneously working to intercept missiles launched from Iran toward Israel.
