Student in custody after allegedly firing gun at Perth’s Atlantis Beach Baptist College

Police have rushed to a private college in Perth after reports a student fired a gun in the carpark.

Police have rushed to Perth’s northern suburbs in response to an alarming incident at a private college.

According to reports, a student at the school fired a gun in the carpark, prompting swift action from law enforcement.

The incident occurred around 11:50 am, leading to a significant police presence at Atlantis Beach Baptist College.

Neighbouring businesses, including a local daycare, were placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure.

The 15-year-old teenager believed to be responsible for discharging the firearm has been apprehended by the police.

Parents and students were reported leaving the school around 4pm.

There were no injuries.
