A 12-week-old puppy has had an emotional reunion with its owners after he was stolen during a home burglary.

French bulldog Rogue was home alone about 3.30pm Tuesday when a person in a stolen vehicle broke into his Buston Place home in Redcliffe, in Perth’s eastern suburbs.

The person rummaged through rooms, before stealing jewellery and making off with Rogue.

Rogue is returned to his owners a day after being allegedly stolen in a home burglary.

Information given to police led them to an address in the southern suburb of St James about 6.10pm Wednesday, where they allegedly found the dog in the backyard and returned him to his owners.

Video from WA Police shows the tearful moment two officers return Rogue to his elated owners.

A 20-year-old Wanneroo woman has been charged with a count of receiving, and has been bailed to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on April 17.

WA Police said their inquiries are still ongoing, and expect more charges to follow.
