Danniel John Hoonhout charged with Safety Bay murder

Police have charged a 46-year-old FIFO worker with murder after he allegedly stabbed a man.

A FIFO worker has been charged with murder after a man was allegedly stabbed inside a home in Perth’s south.

Emergency services were called to the Port Royal Dr home in Safety Bay about 11.45pm on Tuesday after reports a man was seriously injured.

A 30-year-old was treated for a serious injury, consistent with a stab wound.

He was taken to Rockingham General Hospital by St John WA, where he died a short time later.

Danniel John Hoonhout, 46, was arrested at the scene and faced Rockingham Magistrates Court on Friday morning charged with the alleged murder.

The FIFO worker was remanded in custody and will next appear before Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on May 29.
