The off-price retailer will open its first Western Australia store at Ocean Keys Shopping Centre in Clarkson this spring.

“Extending into Western Australia is a huge milestone for TK Maxx,” TK Maxx Australia spokesman Tony Dunseath said.

“We’re excited for shoppers to enjoy our unique shopping experience as we open stores across Perth over the coming years.

“Our stores offer big brands at small prices with new styles arriving multiple times a week so there is always incredible value to be discovered on every visit.”

The retailer, founded in 1976 by Bernard Cammarata, stocks a wide range of products including womenswear, menswear, children’s clothes, accessories, shoes, beauty, homewares and toys.

The announcement sent shoppers into a frenzy on social media, with hundreds declaring they were “so excited” that they “actually can’t cope with this news”.

“Finally! So happy,” one woman wrote.

The store will open at Ocean Keys Shopping Centre in Clarkson.

“Hope it’s as good as the UK chain. If it is, I’m very excited.”

Another commented: “I’ve just passed out from excitement.”

“Brilliant,” said one. “Such a great store.”

Meanwhile another said, “My prayers have been answered.”

“I’ve emailed. I’ve begged, and you’re finally coming to Perth. Now I don’t have to visit the rellies in the states or over east to get my TK Maxx fix.”

The Ocean Keys store will mark TK Maxx’s 77th in Australia, having first arrived here in 2017, doubling its presence over the past five years.
