The 17-year-old was initially charged with grievous bodily harm, but that was upgraded to murder following Ms Miller’s death.

The charge was then discontinued at the boy’s court appearance on Wednesday, with prosecutors accepting his guilty plea to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

The court was told the boy, who can’t be identified, was diagnosed with foetal alcohol spectrum disorder in 2020.

He’ll face a two-day sentencing hearing from April 27.

He cannot be held legally responsible for the death of Ms Miller’s unborn child.
