Woman upset by vaccine mandate saved after self harm incident

A woman who said she lost everything because of Victoria’s vaccine mandate was saved by emergency services after a dramatic Werribee incident.

A woman upset by Victoria’s vaccine mandates was saved by emergency services after a self-harm incident in Werribee.

Witnesses to the bizarre scene on Cherry St on Monday said the woman stopped her car in the middle of the road and displayed a sign which appeared to read: “No one cares, mandates are killing us”.

She reportedly told police she had lost everything and had nothing left because of the vaccine mandates in place in Victoria.

She lit a fire and was taken to hospital by paramedics.

A video on a local Wyndham Facebook site showed the aftermath with fire crews, police and paramedics all in attendance.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman confirmed they were called to the incident near a Woolworths supermarket just before 2pm Monday following reports of a woman attempting self-harm.

“She was subsequently taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries,” the spokeswoman said.

No other details have been provided by Victoria Police or Ambulance Victoria.
