Man charged with murder over death of father of six on Chapel St
A Sydney man has been charged over the alleged stabbing death of Ruka Carlson in Prahran on Chapel St on Easter Sunday.

A murder charge has been laid over the alleged stabbing death of a man on Chapel St.
The Sydney man was arrested at Melbourne Airport following the alleged murder of 30-year-old Ruka Carlson in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Mr Carlson, from Mickleham, was allegedly stabbed during a violent brawl along Chapel St but died on the way to hospital.
Detectives on Monday swooped on the 35-year-old man from Lidcombe, a suburb west of Sydney, at Melbourne Airport.
He was quizzed by detectives before he was hit with charges of affray and other “assault related offences”.
Homicide squad detectives on Thursday added a charge of murder as the man faced court.
They say the accused murderer was known to his alleged victim.
The Sydney man was remanded in custody to front Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on September 4.
Mr Carlson, who shares six children with his fiancee, was allegedly bashed outside several popular nightclubs about 1.30am Sunday.
“Police were told a group of male offenders assaulted a 30-year-old man, then chased him further down the street,” a police statement read.
“The Mickleham man sustained multiple stab wounds outside another nearby licensed premises.
“Detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone who was in the busy area at the time of the attack who may have witnessed the incident or has any footage to come forward.”
Mr Carlson was due to marry his partner, Monique, in the coming months.
She remembered him as “the most beautiful soul on earth”.
The police investigation is ongoing.
