Police lay murder charge after man was found dead in Bundoora vegetable patch
Police have charged a man with murder after another man’s body was discovered in a vegetable patch at a home in Bundoora.

A man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a missing man’s body in a vegetable patch at a home in Melbourne’s northeast.
Two people were arrested after the body of 53-year-old Efstratios was found in the backyard of a McLeans Rd home in Bundoora about 9.45am on Thursday.
He was last seen alive at a gym on Janefield Drive in that suburb on April 2 before his family reported him as missing.
Police arrested a 40-year-old Bundoora man and a Bundoora woman, 51, at the home on Thursday.
Missing persons squad detectives have since charged the man with one count of murder.
The alleged murderer faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and will appear again on October 6.
The woman was also quizzed by detectives and released.
Details of the man’s death remain unclear and it is not yet known if he knew the two people arrested.
Forensic crews were on Thursday seen using shovels in the vegetable patch while much of the street was cordoned off.
