No groom, no problem: Melbourne influencer throws iconic anti-cheater party at Maison Batard
Melbourne influencer Adelle Petropoulos has gone from “I do” to “I’m through,” marking her would-be wedding day with a girls’ night out and an iconic cake iced with the words “cheaters don’t get cake.”
A Melbourne influencer and content creator has been praised as ‘iconic’ for cancelling her wedding and keeping the party.
Adelle Petropoulos, who has 185,000 TikTok and almost 50,000 Instagram followers, got her ultimate revenge by celebrating with her girlfriends at trendy Maison Batard.
The night featured a cheeky cake that read “cheaters don’t get cake’’ which went viral.
Petropoulos, 30, posted herself munching into the cake and dressed to the nines.
“Cancelled the wedding, kept the party,’’ Petropoulos captioned images.
“Thank god for my girls.”
Brooke Warne commented “Icon”; Elle Ray wrote “You’re an absolute icon”; Jade Kisnorbo wrote “Iconic” and Jamie Marinos said “An icon ladies & gentlemen”.
Petropoulos wore a stunning gown to the TikTok Awards last week by Melbourne designer Con Ilio, who also made her wedding dress.
Another follower on TikTok asked: “Soo he cheated?”
One said: “That cake told us all the story we have been waiting for and wondering what the hell happened!! Perfect way to spill the tea without actually saying a word! Your (sic) a f***ing queen!”
Petropoulos posted a TikTok sharing that she’d cancelled her wedding, to her ex named Anfa, four months ago. She had rarely shared him on her social media.
“Do you know what I didn’t have on my bingo card this year — cancelling my f***ing wedding,’’ she said.
“Anf and I are not together anymore. I’ve never been disingenous (sic) on this app. Am I going to be that b*tch that cries to camera for sympathy and pity — absolutely not. I will cry behind closed doors and don’t worry I have been.”
Petropoulos said didn’t want to bring “bad karma” on herself but unloading on her former fiance.
“I’m not in the business of hurting people no matter how much I was wronged,’’ she said.
“On a very surface level something has happened that didn’t align with my principles and my values as a human being on this f...ing earth that has made a lifelong commitment to someone and I have decided to walk away.”
