Two patients have been rushed to hospital following a two-vehicle crash in south Cairns.
At 9.50am on Thursday emergency services were called to a two-vehicle collision at the Foster Rd roundabout in Mount Sheridan.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics treated a woman aged in her 70s and another motorist.
Both drivers were taken to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition just after 10.30am.
The older woman sustained minor back injuries.
Queensland Police Service officers attended the scene which caused the road to be blocked.
Both cars needed to be towed from the accident site before Foster Road was reopened at 11am.
