Four teenagers have been arrested following an alleged stabbing in a Bunnings Warehouse carpark.
Police were called to the store on Pearcedale Pde, Broadmeadows following reports of a stabbing and fight between males at about 7.30pm on Monday.
A 40-year-old man and an 18-year-old boy, both from Glenroy, were found at the scene with suspected stab wounds and hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses saw four or five teenagers running from the scene before a police helicopter was used to track them down, Victoria Police said in a statement.
Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives and Critical Incident Response Team members arrested an 18-year-old and three 19-year-old boys at a nearby address on Fir Close.
The two victims claim they went to the carpark to confront the group of teens after the Glenroy 18-year-old’s AirPods had been stolen during an alleged robbery at a nearby shopping centre.
The pair, who didn’t report the robbery to the police, located the group using Apple’s ‘Find My’ app to track the AirPods.
A 19-year-old from Craigieburn was charged with cause serious injury with intention in circumstances of gross violence, affray and robbery.
The 18-year-old from Meadow Heights was charged with intentionally and recklessly cause injury and affray.
The pair have been held over to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday where police will seek their remand.
The remaining two 19-year-olds, from Coolaroo and Broadmeadows, have been bailed to appear before Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on 17 June.
One of the pair was charged with affray and the other charged with intentionally and recklessly cause injury, affray, assault by kicking and robbery.
